Mindful Yoga therapy•15-Hour & 100-hour certification programs for Yoga Teachers•developed by suzanne manafort

Developed by Suzanne Manafort, a Senior Embodyoga Teacher Trainer and registered Yoga Therapy Teacher Trainer, Mindful Yoga Therapy (MYT) is an empirically informed, clinically tested program comprised of five practices: Pranayama, Asana (postures connected with breath), Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and Gratitude. Each practice is a tool veterans can use to cope with Post Traumatic Stress, and together, they form a comprehensive system–a toolbox–that will carry veterans into a life of strength and resilience.

Suzanne has crafted powerful programs to train experienced teachers in helping veterans and others who have faced severe trauma. With the help of Robin Gilmartin, an experienced psychoanalyst at the West Haven VA and the faculty and staff of the MYT Team, Suzanne developed Breathe In, Breathe Out, a meditation practice to help veterans while at the VA or at home. Suzanne and Robin also developed the MYT Practice Guide which has been distributed free to over 18,000 veterans. Suzanne and her faculty offer workshops all over the world.

MYT includes:
15-Hour Trauma Training
15-Hour Adaptive Training
100-Hour Certification Training

teaching with awareness •Assisting Recovery from Eating Disorders •
Developed by Katherine tancredi

In this Embodyoga workshop for teachers Katherine explores how yoga, when mindfully taught, can be used effectively in the prevention, treatment, and recovery of eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues.

This workshop provides an introduction to eating disorders and co-morbidities and how yoga, when mindfully taught, can be an essential part of bringing the body into treatment. Eating disorders are a fragmentation of self and a dissociation from the natural needs of the body. This Embodyoga approach focuses on creating a gentle process for helping those suffering from disordered eating to returning to a state of comfort with their own embodied forms.
