Corinne Andrews
Corinne Andrews, E-RYT 500, along with her husband Matthew are the owners/directors of Yoga Center Amherst. Corinne is the lead teacher of the 200 Hr Embodyoga® Teacher Training, and the 90hr Birthing Mama Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, and the founder/head author of Birthing Mama® Prenatal Yoga and Wellness, an online Holistic Pregnancy Program. She has been teaching yoga to people of all ages and abilities since 2003.
In Corinne’s classes and trainings you will find a safe and loving environment where you can travel deeply into yourself, exploring your body’s many layers and systems from the most energetic to the physical. Always moving with your breath as your sacred guide, you will explore pranayama (breath practices), flowing sequences as well as slow, deep holding of asanas (postures). Most classes have a theme to help you explore your body-mind fully and settle into the prana within the breath, the spirit within the prana and the living presence of the divine within the spirit. You are invited to explore asana as a means to feeling and embodying unity with the Divine.
In addition to weekly classes and trainings, Corinne offers private yoga sessions for health and healing. She has trained in Classical Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Baba Hari Das, Embodyoga® with Patty Townsend, shiatsu with Nini Melvin, meridian yoga with Daniel Orlansky, prenatal & postnatal yoga with Arden Pierce, and as a birth doula with Michele L’Esperance. In addition to these trainings Corinne has taken many different workshops with various teachers, such as Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and Judith Laster. Corinne’s beloved spiritual teacher, Julie of Light Omega, has been supporting her since 2002 to embody the essence of yoga and live a sacred and holy life in harmony with the earth and all beings in day to day life, in service to the Divine.
